Kaidan

Kaidan: the things that make us wonder, gasp, give us goose bumps

Developed and designed by year-four students, across two terms in 2019, Kaidan was a one-night-only immersive, site-specific and promenade-style community event.

Barking Spider Visual Theatre artists and St. Mary’s School staff collaborated with the children to create Kaidan. The project enabled the school community to explore shared and individual narratives about fear and the uncanny. Through a series of workshops, a marvellous shadow-puppet performance, lantern parade and all-school installation event took place on September 6th, 2019.
