Anastasya the Bold

Born in Russia, a half-aristocrat, half-Bolshevik, who fled during the Bolshevik uprising, Anastasya is a storyteller, visionary and raconteur. Leading a life itinerant and intrepid, she has moved to many countries, has had many many great loves, and many husbands – providing a tapestry of rich, astonishing and sometimes tragic tales.

Anastasya will grace your festival, party or event, thrilling your guests or audience with these extraordinary tales from her colourful past. Guests select an object from Anastasya’s basket of curios, Anastasya then tells the history and story of the object. Then Anastasya divines why that particular person selected that object – Or perhaps the object chose the person…

Premiered at The Village Festival in 2012, Anastasya the Bold most recently appeared at Heide Museum for an end of year celebration. Here’s what Heide had to say about Anastasya:
