Illuminated Lightfish

Bioluminescent, playful and beautiful, the Illuminated Lightfish are Barking Spider Visual Theatre’s newest addition to our roving puppetry works.

Rarely seen by humans, these creatures dwell in the far-away depths of the inky-blue ocean. These normally shy creatures, guided by their Sea Shepherds, have emerged to play in the sky. The Illuminated Lightfish are beautiful, entrancing and captivating

Daytime to dusk performances
During daylight the three illuminated Lightfish are beautiful and sparkling, each fish with a signature colour. The scales and tails of the fish shimmer in the sunlight as they swim through the sky.
Evening performances
After dark, the three Illuminated Lightfish puppets transform, glowing luminescent colours as they swim. Their colours shift and change: the light affecting the colours of the fish scales and tail, and bouncing off the coral coronets of the Sea Shepherds – the puppeteers.
