The Object Monologues – Colac

If they could talk, what would Colac Otway Shire’s significant landmarks have to say?

The Object Monologues – Colac is a free, geolocated audio experience where the personality, idiosyncrasies, passions, loves and losses of five of Colac’s most iconic landmarks are brought to life. The Object Monologues – Colac is created for everyone to feel joy, delight and wonder.

RESEARCH
Bernadette Daly, Helen Paatsch, Andrew Beale, Ros Scanlan, Lauchie Warnock, Renee Taylor from the Forrest & District Neighbourhood House, and patient staff who answered my weird questions at the Forrest General Store.

HUGE THANKS to Lynne Richardson for her generosity and support in the organising and set up for the community performance workshops held at The Maker’s Space, Colac, and to Scarlett Cridland for spreading the word about the workshops through Colac Otway secondary schools and networks.

Thanks always to my artistic collaborator and sounding board Jason Lehane for reading all the script drafts and for the ever- constructive critical feedback.
